Angel Reese’s First Reebok Signature Sneaker Sells Out in Hours

Angel Reese has done what many said couldn’t be done: she’s turned a WNBA signature sneaker into a sellout event. The Angel Reese 1s hit Reebok’s site Thursday and within hours two of the three colorways—“Diamond Dust” and “Mebounds”—were gone. The third, “Receipts Ready,” is hanging on by a thread, with only a handful of small sizes left.

For Reese, this was more than a product launch. “Taking a leap of faith and launching three of my signature shoes at once was a huge risk—but guess what? They all sold out,” she wrote on social media, adding her gratitude to fans and her belief that “Reebok is back.”

Reebok signed Reese in 2023 while she was still at LSU, part of a broader push to reestablish its basketball presence under Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson. After her rookie season with the Chicago Sky, the company doubled down—locking her into an extension that included the rare prize in women’s sports marketing: a signature shoe.

That scarcity is part of what makes Reese’s launch significant. For years, brands treated the women’s game as an afterthought, unwilling to invest at the level reserved for NBA stars. Only recently has that calculus shifted. Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, and Jacy Sheldon have all joined the signature club, and Caitlin Clark’s Nike line is set for 2026.

Reebok’s gamble on Reese was bold, but the sellout proves the market is here. The WNBA finally has sneaker stars moving units, and Angel Reese just set the bar.
