“I Get Naked Pics Every Day”: Bayern Star Giulia Gwinn Opens Up on Harassment and Rejecting Playboy

Bayern Munich midfielder Giulia Gwinn is keeping her focus where it belongs: on the pitch — and on her own terms. The 25-year-old sports star revealed in her new autobiography, Write Your Own Story, that her career as a professional footballer comes with more than just trophies and accolades. She deals with daily sexism — including unsolicited nude photos from men flooding her Instagram DMs.

“Sure, I constantly receive photos of naked men,” Gwinn says. “The photos are always from anonymous accounts. I delete them, and I report the accounts. It’s just plain bad harassment.”

Gwinn has repeatedly declined offers from Playboy Germany, despite the magazine’s overtures highlighting both her athletic talent and public appeal. “They’re beautiful and aesthetic photos, no doubt,” she admits. “But they’re not for me. Posting a bikini photo on my account is fine, but anything else exceeds my personal limits.”

She’s been with Bayern since 2019 and has built a massive following — over 638,000 Instagram fans — sharing a mix of on-field victories and off-field moments. Her content now also includes promotion for her autobiography, where she reflects on carving out her own identity beyond expectations, offers, and unsolicited attention.

For Gwinn, it’s a balancing act: being visible, successful, and admired while keeping control over how she presents herself. And in a world that often equates female athletes with aesthetic appeal first, she’s making it clear: she writes her own story.
