Baywatch Icon Donna D’Errico Says Playboy Shut Her Down 30 Years After Her Cover Girl Debut

Thirty years after she first graced the cover of Playboy, Donna D’Errico figured she had unfinished business with the brand that helped launch her into pop culture mythology.

The Baywatch alum — now 57, in peak shape, and running a thriving OnlyFans page — reached out to see if Playboy wanted to feature her again. The answer was a flat no.

“They were like, ‘Oh, we don’t do that anymore,’” D’Errico told Fox News Digital. “I know there’s no magazine now, but I thought they still did pictorials. They said, ‘No, it’s a different vibe.’”

D’Errico made her debut as Playboy’s September 1995 Playmate of the Month, later appearing in multiple spreads. In recent years she’s posed nude for a PETA campaign, built a sizable online following, and even launched “Call Donna D,” an AI-powered celebrity chat experience.

Her pitch wasn’t a nostalgia trip — it was about confidence. “I was feeling myself. I think I look pretty good, I might like to pose again. I thought it could be cool,” she said.

Playboy, now operating primarily as a lifestyle and digital brand, wasn’t interested in a return to its classic format. For D’Errico, it was a missed opportunity. “That sucks, because I would have done it.”
