Brittany Cartwright’s latest romance has already run its course.
The Valley star confirmed she and Brandon Hanson have called it quits, just two months after their relationship went public in a haze of PDA and speculation. Speaking on her When Reality Hits podcast, Cartwright was blunt: “We actually did not last.”
The 36-year-old reality fixture, who shares a four-year-old son, Cruz, with estranged husband Jax Taylor, said the relationship moved too fast and too publicly. “We were very good friends before we started dating,” she said. “It was a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to.”
Distance and reality sank the spark. Cartwright is based in Los Angeles; Hanson lives three hours away, tied down with three kids and a full plate. “I could not do the long distance,” she admitted. “It was too tough to keep it going.”
Despite the breakup, Cartwright insists the split was amicable. “We really cared about each other,” she said. “Hopefully we can remain friends.”
Still, the timing makes sense. Cartwright’s divorce from Taylor is ongoing, and she’s not shy about the toll it’s taken. “I still got a lot of healing to do, a lot of learning to do,” she said. “Being single for a little bit longer is what’s best for me.”
For now, Brittany Cartwright is back where reality TV first found her—solo, rebuilding, and ready to let the cameras roll.
