Sun, surf, and signature red swimsuits. Brooks Nader led the cast onto the Los Angeles set of the Baywatch reboot this week, joined by Livvy Dunne, Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, and Hassie Harrison. Cameras rolled, slow-motion runs were rehearsed, and behind-the-scenes laughs hinted at the sun-soaked energy fans expect from the franchise.

Nader, starring as Selene, captain of the rival Zuma Beach lifeguards, glowed in the show’s iconic red one-piece, while the cast readied themselves for the 12-episode series. The reboot follows Hobie Buchannon—played by Stephen Amell—as he carries on the family legacy, navigating the lifeguard world his father, Mitch, once dominated.

Baywatch’s legacy is impossible to ignore. From 1988 to 2001, the original series dominated global TV screens, featuring David Hasselhoff as Mitch alongside Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, and Nicole Eggert. The reboot aims to capture that same mix of beach drama, adrenaline, and glamour, while introducing a new generation of lifeguards and fresh storylines.

The official synopsis teases: “Hobie’s world is turned upside down when Charlie, the daughter he never knew, arrives at his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon legacy and join the Baywatch team alongside her father.” Red swimsuits, family drama, and high-stakes lifeguarding—Baywatch is back, and the California sun has never looked so good.
