Carina Mirabile Shuts Down NFL Romance Rumours After MAFS Split

Married At First Sight bride Carina Mirabile has shut down speculation linking her to a high-profile NFL player, insisting she is single and focused on what comes next following her split from on-screen husband Paul Antoine last year.

Speaking to Daily Mail, the 31-year-old influencer dismissed rumours of a romance with an American football star as fiction, saying she remains unattached and open to meeting the right person on her own terms.

“I’m a free bird,” Mirabile said. “I love meeting people. One of the positives of social media is that it connects you with people from all over the world. I have friends in America, but I am very much single.”

Mirabile said she hopes this year brings a more serious relationship and was clear about what she’s looking for. Kindness, she said, comes first, followed closely by emotional intelligence and basic decency.

“For me, it’s about energy,” she explained. “I meet a lot of people, and I gravitate toward those with a good soul. The world can be cruel. I’m at an age where I want something real. Chivalry isn’t dead. If someone wants something serious, then they should come my way.”

Reflecting on her time on MAFS, Mirabile said she remains friendly with some of her former castmates but has drawn a firm line when it comes to her ex-husband. While she says she has moved on without resentment, she is no longer in contact with Antoine.

“I forgive and forget,” she said. “I don’t hold grudges. I can care from a distance without giving my time and energy.”

She confirmed she has unfollowed Antoine on social media and has no ongoing relationship with him, though she wishes him well.

Outside of television, Mirabile has returned to work with her family business, Beyond Tools, a hardware retailer she says has helped keep her grounded after reality TV exposure. She continues to balance occasional shifts with content creation and digital marketing for the brand.

“It’s honestly great,” she said. “I love talking to people. It keeps you real. Anyone who thinks they can quit their job after MAFS is kidding themselves. That’s how you end up in debt.”

While she’s finished with dating shows, Mirabile hasn’t ruled out reality television altogether. She said she would consider a different format and named I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia as a potential challenge.

“Never say never,” she said. “Just not another dating show. There’s more to me than what Australia has seen.”

Mirabile and Antoine’s relationship was one of the more volatile pairings on the Channel Nine series, marked by sharp emotional swings and a widely criticised incident in which Antoine punched a door during an argument. The moment, triggered by a comment Mirabile made about rapper Quavo, proved a turning point for the couple. They separated soon after, unable to recover from the fallout.

Since leaving the show, Mirabile has leaned into her background in communications, fashion, and media, quietly building a post-MAFS career that appears less about spectacle and more about control.
