Country singer Emily Ann Roberts handled every performer’s worst nightmare with charm and composure during her Atlanta show on October 26. The former Voice finalist was midway through her set at City Winery when her top gave out onstage—turning a live mishap into a moment of self-deprecating humor.
Known for her wholesome style and Southern grit, Roberts told fans on Instagram that the incident happened during her song “Chickens.” Mid-chorus, the top button of her pink, metallic-accented halter popped loose, leaving the singer scrambling to keep things covered. “My worst nightmare came true,” she admitted.
In a video shared later that night, Roberts laughed through the story, whispering to the camera, “Tonight was the night I almost showed my bare—well, you know—to a whole sold-out crowd.” The 27-year-old took it in stride, joking, “I about went to bed with chickens and a bunch of strangers tonight.”
After a quick fix and a call to her husband offstage, Roberts slipped into a sweater and finished the concert without missing a beat.
The Knoxville native, who rose to fame as Team Blake’s runner-up on The Voice Season 9, has built her reputation on a mix of tradition and heart.
