Halle Bailey, the 24-year-old star of The Little Mermaid and rising solo artist behind Angel, was caught in a sun-soaked clinch off the Italian coast this week—and the internet did what it does best. It went digging.
The man she was spotted kissing, hugging, and filming sunlit selfies with aboard a yacht isn’t just another vacation fling. He’s reportedly Scott Bridgeway, a low-key heavyweight in the music game with production credits tied to Kendrick Lamar. No TikTok fame-chasing, no podcast clips—just a guy who makes hits and apparently has Halle’s attention.
Photos obtained by The Shade Room show Bailey and Bridgeway embracing the Euro-summer fantasy—barefoot on deck, hands on hips, the kind of intimacy that doesn’t look like a first date. In one shot, Bailey jumps into the sea while Bridgeway angles the phone like he’s capturing album art. Another shows the two locked in a kiss, with the sort of body language that says this isn’t casual.
But this isn’t just yacht rides and gelato. Back in Los Angeles, Bailey is still tied up in a custody fight with ex-boyfriend and rapper DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.). The two share a one-year-old son, Halo, and things have turned messy. DDG recently filed for a temporary restraining order in a failed attempt to block Bailey from taking their child overseas. He claimed she was an “emotional and psychological risk” to the boy.
The judge wasn’t convinced. On June 5, the request was denied, though DDG was later granted supervised visitation rights—in Italy. One condition: he’s barred from posting photos of Halo on social media during the visit.
The court clash didn’t come out of nowhere. In May, Bailey accused DDG of abuse—both physical and emotional—and was granted temporary custody. She cited his “temper and lack of respect” as reasons for the split, and said his online commentary about her parenting had unleashed harassment from his followers.
So while the headlines swirl around yacht kisses and whispered connections to Kendrick’s circle, Bailey is living in two worlds—new romance abroad, legal war at home.
