Kerry Katona doesn’t flinch when the subject of OnlyFans comes up. The former Atomic Kitten singer and tabloid mainstay has made peace with the platform — and more than a few million pounds from it.
In her column for new! magazine, Katona, 44, addressed the ongoing debate about women using the adult subscription site, calling it a “saving grace” after years of financial chaos and public collapse. “I don’t understand why people complain about giving people who do OnlyFans a platform — it’s a job and a way of making money,” she wrote. “It was a saving grace for me.”

Katona, who rose to fame in the late ‘90s with Atomic Kitten before becoming a fixture on British reality television, isn’t shy about the impact OnlyFans has had on her life. Once bankrupt and ridiculed, she now claims the platform helped her earn her first million since hitting rock bottom. “People are quick to say, ‘she’s desperate’ if I get out a bit of nipple,” she said. “But I’ve made my first million since bankruptcy and I’m so, so proud. If it wasn’t for OnlyFans I wouldn’t have had money to invest in myself and in making more companies.”
The comments came after an episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over focused on adult performer Lily Phillips. Katona praised the show’s honesty and questioned why OnlyFans continues to draw moral outrage. “How is it any different to something like Naked Attraction?” she asked.

Still, she showed empathy for Phillips’ parents, who appeared on the documentary to express their discomfort. “They have every right to be upset,” Katona wrote, “but at the end of the day it’s her choice and what can you do?”
It’s a simple philosophy, and one that fits the woman who’s spent two decades being judged by strangers. Katona has turned that scrutiny into currency, owning the spectacle instead of apologising for it.
To her critics, it’s scandalous. To her fans, it’s survival. For Katona, it’s just business.
OnlyFans may not offer redemption, but it does offer agency — and after years of public struggle, that seems to be worth more than respectability. Kerry Katona isn’t chasing approval anymore. She’s getting paid.
