Jake Paul’s Girlfriend Jutta Leerdam Brings Olympic Pedigree to Fight Night Spotlight

Jake Paul may have shared the ring with Anthony Joshua last night, but much of the attention around the bout drifted toward the woman watching from outside it.

Paul’s fiancée, Jutta Leerdam, has become a familiar presence at his fights, and last night was no exception. The 26-year-old Dutch speed skater, already a dominant figure in her sport, continues to draw a following that extends well beyond the ice.

Paul, 28, and Leerdam have been together since early 2023, after Paul ended his relationship with model Julia Rose the previous winter. They were first seen together at a fashion event in Miami, and the relationship moved quickly. Earlier this year, the pair announced their engagement.

Leerdam confirmed the relationship on social media with a series of photos and a simple caption—“That’s it.” Paul responded in Dutch, calling her his “ice queen,” before posting his own images of the two together with the line, “I’m Dutch now.”

Away from the cameras, Leerdam’s résumé stands on its own. She broke through at the World Junior Championships in 2017 and has since established herself as one of Europe’s elite speed skaters. Her medal haul includes multiple golds at the World Sprint and European Championships, as well as an Olympic silver medal at the Beijing Games in 2022.

In Beijing, she was the only skater to dip below the 1:14 mark, crossing in 1:13.72 to extend a dominant run that has defined her career. Earlier this year, she added another title at the 2025 ISU European Speed Skating Championships and is now focused squarely on gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Leerdam has also become a fixture in Paul’s public life. She was ringside in November when he faced former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, a bout that further elevated her profile and drove a sharp increase in her online following.

Brand analysts in the Netherlands have noted the shift. Advertising executive Max Kohnstamm has pointed out that Leerdam has spent years deliberately shaping her public image alongside her athletic career—a strategy that is now paying dividends. Social media consultant Joey Scheufler has echoed that view, noting that her visibility gives her greater independence within the sport.

As she works toward the next Olympics, Leerdam has opted not to re-sign with Team Jumbo, choosing instead to chart her own course.

Last night’s fight reinforced what has become increasingly clear: Jake Paul may draw the headlines, but Leerdam no longer needs to borrow the spotlight.
