Jennifer Aniston has no interest in denying the passage of time — but she’s not surrendering to it either.
The Friends alum, now 56, opened up in a new Glamour Q&A about what it means to “age gracefully,” responding to praise from her Morning Show co-star Marion Cotillard. “That means so much to me,” Aniston said. “As far as aging gracefully, I have an eternal fountain of optimism and positivity. Call it youth if you want.”
Her approach, she explained, is less about procedures and more about perspective. “It all starts with how we love our bodies and love where we are,” she said.

Still, Aniston was candid about maintenance. “I’m not going to say I don’t get the facials and the lasers and all that good stuff,” she admitted. “I mean, I’m maintained. I’m not going to just go down and let these gray hairs take over.”
Speculation around cosmetic surgery has followed her for years. In March 2024, Aniston, Sandra Bullock, and Amanda Anka were photographed leaving the office of Dr. Neil A. Gordon, a Greenwich-based surgeon known for facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty. Aniston hasn’t confirmed going under the knife, but she has been open about experimenting with treatments — including a salmon sperm facial she joked about on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last October.

Her philosophy on health follows what she calls the “80/20 approach”: discipline most of the time, indulgence when it counts. “Eighty percent healthy living and then 20 percent is: go have a martini, go have your pizza and burgers and stay up late with your friends,” she told Allure earlier this year.
Aniston insists her late 50s aren’t about restrictions or fear of the mirror. “We can make our own rules,” she said. “It’s all bullshit. I try not to think about age. The world will always be there telling us what women should do in society when you’re this or that.”
For her, the secret isn’t surgery, it’s mindset — a mix of gratitude, balance, and, yes, a little upkeep.
