Julia Fox isn’t leaving room for confusion about where she stands. A year after declaring herself a lesbian, the Uncut Gems star told Allure that she now identifies as pansexual.
“I could be attracted to anyone and anything,” Fox, 35, said in the interview published Tuesday. “If it were just down to the physical, I’m more attracted to the female body. Men don’t do it for me at all, physically. But I can be attracted to a man’s mind. I’m a vibes person.”

Fox admitted she’s never had a full relationship with a woman, though she’s had crushes and experiences. Still, she doesn’t see men playing any meaningful role in her life moving forward. “I can’t see why a man would be beneficial,” she said. “I don’t miss them at all.”
Her priorities now are clear: raising her 4-year-old son Valentino, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Artemiev, and pushing forward with her own career. “There’s just so much more you can do with your time than waiting around to see if a guy’s going to text you back,” she added.

Fox first caused headlines last July when she announced she was a lesbian in a TikTok video, playfully telling fans, “So sorry, boys!” The reveal came shortly after she disclosed she’d been celibate for two years. She even joked about her brief 2022 fling with Kanye West, admitting she had been “that lesbian with a boyfriend” — and promising it wouldn’t happen again.
Looking back, Fox said the delay in embracing her queer identity came from social conditioning. “Women are so programmed to perform for men,” she told Allure. “So much of my survival was hinged upon men taking care of me.”
Now, she’s cut that tether — and isn’t looking back.
