Kaia Gerber is continuing the family business of headline-grabbing fashion. The 23-year-old model and actress unveiled her latest Givenchy campaign this week, styled by Sarah Burton and photographed by Collier Schorr, where she appeared topless save for an intricately jewelled necklace.
The piece—heavy with crystals, pearls and gemstones—acted as both adornment and provocation, draping down her torso and catching the light in stark black-and-white images. Arms raised behind her head, tattoos on show, Gerber leaned fully into the stripped-back styling.
Other looks from the shoot carried the same edge: low-rise black leather trousers with an exaggerated-shoulder vest, and a leather motorcycle jacket worn without a shirt. Accessories were pared back—geometric earrings, dark frames—ensuring the necklace remained the focal point.
Gerber has been moving between acting and fashion at pace. Alongside modelling, she’s designing a Y2K-inspired activewear collection for Vuori and filming The Shards. The dual career places her firmly in line with Cindy Crawford’s legacy, while carving out her own aesthetic—less polished glamour, more sharp, modern risk.
The family link didn’t go unnoticed. Just last week, Crawford shared her own take on the topless-with-jewellery look, posing makeup-free in a sauna, necklace and earrings standing in for clothing. The message is clear: in this family, understatement isn’t part of the vocabulary.
