Kelly Osbourne isn’t entertaining commentary about her body — not now, not from anyone. The 41-year-old took aim at online critics in a recent Instagram clip, posted in the weeks after the death of her father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. The video has since been deleted, but not before it made the rounds.
In the clip, Osbourne addressed the steady stream of comments accusing her of being ill or relying on weight-loss drugs. “My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can,” she said. “I choose to share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side. So to all those people, f— off.”

Her mother, Sharon Osbourne, backed her up during an interview with Piers Morgan, saying Kelly has barely been able to eat since Ozzy’s death on July 22. “She’s right,” Sharon said. “She’s lost her daddy, she can’t eat right now.”
Kelly has lived much of her life under scrutiny. She entered the spotlight at 15 on The Osbournes and has spoken openly about addiction, relapse, and the long road back. Through all of it, she says the harshest judgment has always come from people policing her weight.

“I’ve been a drug addict, an alcoholic… I’ve been a complete mess,” she told attendees at a recent event. “But I got more s— for being fat than anything else. It’s insane.” She said the commentary never stopped — whether she was heavier or thinner — and the constant fixation took a mental toll.
Osbourne has tried nearly every avenue to get healthy: surgery, medication, diets, exercise. She says the real shift only happened once she addressed her mindset. “I got my mind where I needed it to be, and everything started to fall into place.”

The scrutiny intensified during her pregnancy with her son Sid. Osbourne told PEOPLE she stayed inside for nine months out of fear she’d be ridiculed for gaining weight. “I gained 100 pounds,” she said. “I saw what they did to Jessica Simpson, and I hid.”
Still, that period brought her something she didn’t expect — time with her father. While her partner Sid Wilson was on tour, she moved back in with her parents. She and Ozzy spent the months together, playing cards and Jenga, trading diets, watching TV, and working out in the pool. “We had the best time together,” she said.
Now, navigating grief and unwelcome commentary, Kelly Osbourne’s message is simple and direct: she’s doing the best she can — and she’s done absorbing criticism from strangers.
