Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes are done. After nearly three years, the 32-year-old country singer and the Outer Banks actor have called it quits, Ballerini’s rep confirmed.
“They gave it everything, but it just didn’t work,” a source close to the pair told People. “It happens.”
The relationship started in January 2023, when Stokes posted a photo of the two together at the Georgia vs. TCU game at SoFi Stadium. Rumors followed, and by April that year they made it official, walking the red carpet at the CMT Awards.
The breakup comes only a week after Stokes marked Ballerini’s birthday with a post on Instagram, writing: “Although you keep saying you’re not excited for 32, I’d say I’m lookin forward to more of this. Happy birthday my love.”
Now, that chapter is closed.
