Kim Kardashian, reality tycoon turned legal hopeful, finally closed the book on her six-year march through California’s Law Office Study Program — the same backdoor route to the bar exam once taken by Abe Lincoln. She marked the occasion with a backyard graduation and an Instagram story, because of course she did.
Originally a four-year program, Kardashian’s run stretched to six thanks to COVID delays and a calendar packed with business ventures, court advocacy, and four kids. On May 21, she posted clips of the milestone celebration, where friends, family, and sponsors like attorney Jessica Jackson toasted her persistence.

“Finally graduated law school after six years!!!” she wrote, standing on a makeshift stage with cap in hand, as if six years of casebooks and flashcards were just another brand launch.
Jackson, speaking at the event, reminded the crowd that Kim wasn’t carried by legacy or privilege through an ivy-covered institution. This was the old-school way—18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, for six years. “That’s 5,184 hours of legal study,” Jackson noted. “No shortcuts.”

Among the familiar faces cheering her on: CNN commentator Van Jones, who’s championed her justice reform work for years, and sisters Khloé and Kourtney, both proudly playing their roles in the family press machine. Khloé called it “a cool accomplishment.” Kourtney borrowed the grad cap for a selfie and labeled herself a “supportive sister.”
Since announcing her legal ambitions in 2019, Kardashian has used her platform to spotlight criminal justice reform. She’s helped commute several sentences and worked with advocacy groups behind the scenes. She hasn’t taken the bar yet—but this certificate moves her one step closer.

The glam is still there, but make no mistake—Kim’s playing for keeps.
