Lisa Hochstein’s Boyfriend Jody Glidden Sparks Cocaine Rumors Over “AC” Comment on ‘Real Housewives of Miami’

The Real Housewives of Miami isn’t just serving champagne and Botox this season—it’s dishing out coded language and speculation laced with something a little stronger.

Season 7 of the reality TV juggernaut premiered June 11 on Bravo, and while Alexia Nepola’s real-life divorce brought the usual dose of Housewives melodrama, it was Lisa Hochstein’s boyfriend, tech exec Jody Glidden, who delivered the episode’s most talked-about moment. A throwaway line at his own birthday party—“I need some AC and a shot”—sent Bravo fans spiraling into speculation that “AC” wasn’t short for air conditioning, but for cocaine.

The context? Jody, mid-party, tells a friend he needs “AC.” The friend asks where it is. Jody replies they’ll find it in the bedroom. Cameras catch them disappearing behind a closed door. No fan. No clarification. Just a cut back to the party—and plenty of room for interpretation.

TikTok creator Riley Hamilten was among the first to point out the moment, suggesting the “AC” in question may have been less about staying cool and more about staying up. Observers noted how Jody and his friend emerged looking visibly energized, even calling the so-called AC “amazing.”

“It was snowing in that bedroom,” joked one commenter.

“That’s why he’s tight with Marcus Jordan—they both love AC,” said another, nodding to Larsa Pippen’s ex and his cocaine-related arrest.

The rumors gathered momentum quickly, but Lisa Hochstein wasted no time batting them down. In a statement posted to The Real Housewives Zone via Instagram, she blasted the scene as “a gross misrepresentation” and blamed “manipulated editing.”

“I can’t believe I have to address such ridiculous rumors,” she wrote. “Jody and our non-cast friends were hanging out in our primary suite and lounge area which we use as a common space. They weren’t holed up in some bathroom.”

It’s not the first time Bravo fans have read between the lines and probably won’t be the last. Whether it was a coded reference, a botched metaphor, or just the Miami heat getting to everyone’s head—only Jody and his guests know what really went down.

But in a franchise built on suggestion, drama, and camera cuts at just the right time, sometimes all it takes is two letters to set off the powder keg.
