Meghan Markle Channels Old Hollywood Glam at Los Angeles Charity Gala

Meghan Markle stepped out solo for the 2026 Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala in Los Angeles, bringing a measured dose of old Hollywood glamour. The Duchess of Sussex wore a strapless oyster-coloured gown by Charles Harbison of Harbison Studio, featuring black piping along a sweetheart neckline, paired with a velvet-and-silk shawl that trailed behind her.

Accessories were deliberate: vintage onyx-and-diamond pieces from Maison Mèrenor and suede Stuart Weitzman heels. Her hair was pulled into a tight bun, and makeup remained minimal, letting the lines and textures of the dress do the talking. Harbison himself shared a brief video from the gala, showing Markle smiling and laughing inside the event.

The Fifteen Percent Pledge, founded by Aurora James, encourages retailers to dedicate at least 15 percent of shelf space and revenue to Black-owned businesses. Among those attending were Chloe Bailey, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Winnie Harlow, with Tina Knowles honoured for her longstanding advocacy.

Prince Harry was absent, though Markle recently shared a sweet clip of him at work for her As Ever collaboration with Compartés Chocolates, promoting her signature fruit spreads and chocolate treats. A subtle nod to her past, Markle paired the event with a vintage navy Roland Mouret gown she’d worn at the 2018 Royal Foundation Dinner.

Even alone, Markle’s presence was quietly commanding — effortless, polished, and distinctly her own.
