Natasha Lyonne Escorted Off Delta Flight Hours After ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Premiere

Hollywood runs on momentum — red carpets, flashbulbs, after-parties, overnight flights to the next obligation. For Natasha Lyonne, the evening following HBO’s Euphoria Season 3 premiere ended far more quietly, and far more publicly, than planned.

Hours after appearing at the show’s Hollywood launch at the TCL Chinese Theatre, Lyonne was reportedly escorted off a late-night Delta flight bound from Los Angeles to New York after what witnesses described as concerning behaviour onboard.

The actress, who joins Euphoria this season in a guest-starring role, boarded the red-eye still dressed in elements of her premiere look — black stockings, oversized shades, sneakers and a long dark coat. Earlier that evening, she had walked the carpet in a sheer top alongside cast members including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, marking one of the most anticipated television returns of the year.

According to eyewitness accounts, Lyonne appeared unresponsive as flight attendants prepared the aircraft for takeoff. Crew members repeatedly asked her to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt, but she allegedly failed to acknowledge instructions while seated in first class. At one point, she reportedly startled awake, reacting as though unaware of the situation around her.

The aircraft ultimately returned to the gate before departure. A Delta staff member boarded and asked whether she required medical assistance before informing her the plane would not leave until she disembarked. Witnesses say Lyonne seemed confused about their location, asking where the plane was before being told it had not yet departed Los Angeles.

After briefly stepping to the restroom, she calmly exited the aircraft carrying a bag of pretzels, her luggage already removed from the flight. The captain later addressed passengers, apologising for the delay and explaining that one traveller had been unable to comply with standard safety instructions.

The flight departed roughly an hour late, leaving an empty first-class seat behind.

The incident arrives only weeks after Lyonne spoke candidly with fans about her sobriety journey. Earlier this year, she revealed she had experienced a relapse before later posting that she was “doing a whole lot better” and focusing on recovery while keeping parts of the process private.

Representatives for Lyonne have not responded to requests for comment.

In an industry built on spectacle, Lyonne has long stood apart — equal parts downtown survivor and Hollywood original. Thursday night served as a reminder that behind the premieres and press lines, real life rarely follows a script.
