Porsha Williams Steps Into a New Era — and a New Kind of Love

Porsha Williams is done with narcissists. After her headline divorce from Simon Guobadia, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star is rewriting her own playbook — and this time, gender isn’t part of the rulebook.

Speaking at New York City’s CultureCon over the weekend, Williams, 44, told the crowd she’s currently seeing two people — “a man and a woman.” The audience reacted with surprise, a collective gasp rolling through the room. Williams laughed, unfazed. “He is nice,” she said. “And she is nice.”

The reality TV star didn’t name names. What she did make clear was that both of her current partners are, as she put it, normal. That’s a sharp pivot from her recent past. “I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists,” she told the crowd, hinting at the emotional fallout from her marriage. “You know what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They do everything to look perfect. They mirror you.”

Williams married Guobadia in 2022. Fourteen months later, she filed for divorce. The split was finalized earlier this year.

Now, she says, she’s dating people who challenge her — not with grand gestures, but with honesty. “They ask questions. They don’t let me walk all over them,” she said. “I have to soften up a bit. I have to not expect a whole lot of elaborate things.”

Williams admitted she’s still figuring it out. “I was asking myself, ‘Do I like women enough? Can I get with a woman? Who can fill this void?’” she said through tears. “I’ve got to be able to sit with someone and feel a part of what I felt before. But I don’t yet.”

For a woman who’s lived much of her life under the microscope, this feels different. No cameras, no love bombing, no script. Just a public figure learning to be private again — and daring to find something real in the wreckage.
