Rachel Zoe and ‘RHOBH’ Take Over the Surf Lodge in Montauk

Rachel Zoe, the newest face on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was spotted filming with castmates Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley this past Saturday at the Surf Lodge in Montauk — a venue more familiar with exclusive DJ sets and fashion week spillovers than Bravo cameras.

The trio showed up early, catching a set by Mojave Grey on the deck, where production rolled for roughly twenty minutes before the women eased into the crowd and stayed for the rest of the gig. After the music, they moved to a private area of the venue for dinner — far from the swarm but still wired for filming.

Producers were seen rigging multiple zones of the property in anticipation of possible scene splits. It marks the first time the Surf Lodge has allowed any reality show to film onsite, a notable pivot considering its history. In 2018, the venue sent a cease-and-desist to Summer House for airing unauthorized footage after being explicitly denied permission to film.

That letter, issued by attorney John Zidziunas, called the inclusion of Surf Lodge “irreparably harmful” to the brand and demanded Bravo pull episodes and crop all visuals from current and past seasons. But time, and connections, change things. Sources say Zoe is close with Surf Lodge owner Jayma Cardoso — likely smoothing the way for this particular production.

Despite its previous stance, the venue still sees its fair share of Bravo personalities off-camera. Cast members from Summer House, including Lindsey Hubbard and Carl Radke, have been spotted there without the crew in tow.

Also in the crowd over the weekend: Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis, attending an event hosted by wellness founder Dria Murphy. Southern Charm’s Austen Kroll and Kim Kardashian’s go-to stylist Chris Appleton were also seen making the rounds — the kind of B-list constellation that defines summer in the Hamptons.

As for Zoe, she’s not just easing into reality TV — she’s showing up with the Rolodex, the wardrobe, and the access to match.
