Ricki Hendrick is ready to step into motherhood. The 20-year-old daughter of former Bachelorette Emily Maynard revealed this week that she’s expecting her first child, news that also makes Maynard a grandmother at just 39.
Ricki shared the announcement on Instagram, posting a sonogram with the caption: “Netflix told me I’m not allowed to talk about it,” borrowing the line from Love Island USA contestant Huda Mustafa. She followed up with an ultrasound video and a candid note about pregnancy’s early toll: “My heart is so full, yet my stomach is so empty because she hates all food. I’m convinced.”

It’s a milestone that carries weight beyond celebrity headlines. Ricki’s father, NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, died in a plane crash in 2004, leaving Maynard to raise her as a single mother before finding reality-TV fame on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
Now, nearly two decades later, Ricki is carving her own path, shifting the spotlight from her mother’s search for love to her own journey into parenthood. For Maynard, who went on to marry Tyler Johnson in 2014 and have five more children, the news marks the start of a new chapter—this time not as a contestant or a bride, but as a grandmother.
