Rosalía Unveils Berghain, a New Era Begins with Björk and Yves Tumor

Rosalía has dropped Berghain, the first single from her upcoming album Lux, set for release on November 7. The track takes its name from Berlin’s infamous nightclub—a monument to hedonism and art—and channels its shadowed pulse into something more cerebral, almost sacred.

Reuniting with Björk and joined by the ever-elusive Yves Tumor, Rosalía stretches the boundaries of pop once again. Berghain slips between German, English, and Spanish, weaving organ swells, choral echoes, and a fractured electronic backbone into something hauntingly beautiful.

Directed by Nicolás Méndez, the video drifts between everyday gestures and surreal visions—mundane moments charged with mysticism. It’s the first glimpse of a more spiritual, orchestral Rosalía, far removed from the raw urban energy of Motomami (2022).

Lux will feature 18 tracks divided into four movements, with collaborations from Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, and the London Symphony Orchestra under Daníel Bjarnason’s direction.

Shot between Berlin and Barcelona, the Berghain video has already amassed millions of views within a day of release. Last week, Rosalía appeared unannounced in Madrid’s Plaza de Callao, as the album’s cover illuminated the city’s screens—an apparition both digital and divine.

With Berghain, Rosalía steps into uncharted territory—where spirituality meets sensuality, and electronic music turns liturgical. Another reinvention, another world built entirely her own.
