The 27-year-old model and designer announced she’s pregnant with her second child with husband Elliot Grainge, sharing the news on Instagram Thursday with a photo of her baby bump and the caption: “On my way to launch these babies.”
It marks the couple’s second child together. Richie and Grainge — the music executive son of Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge — first went public in early 2021, got engaged the following year, and married in April 2023 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. Their first daughter, Eloise Samantha, was born in May 2024.
Richie spoke to Vogue earlier this year about finding out she was pregnant with her first child during Milan Fashion Week. “I was about four weeks pregnant,” she said. “I felt terrible but thought it was jet lag. When I saw the test, I cried. Elliot cried. It was overwhelming.”
Now, with baby number two on the way, Richie’s keeping things grounded. “Pregnancy is really scary and you want to protect that space,” she told Vogue. “For me, it was really important to protect our mental health and our space as a couple.”
For someone raised under the spotlight, Richie’s approach to motherhood feels almost radical — quiet, careful, and on her own terms.
