Sydney Sweeney Stuns in Sculpted White Dress at SCAD Film Festival

Sydney Sweeney knows how to hold a room. On Monday night at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, the Euphoria star arrived in a sharp, white Stella McCartney minidress that looked engineered as much as designed — a one-shouldered, corseted piece from the brand’s Spring 2026 collection.

Styled by Molly Dickson, the look was all structure and precision. Padded hips and a boned bodice built the silhouette, while a layer of sheer fabric softened the edges. It was a dress that showed its bones — confident, deliberate, and unmistakably McCartney.

Sweeney kept the rest simple: white slingback pumps, minimal jewelry, and that clean monochrome that lets the tailoring speak for itself.

The actress, 28, was in Savannah to accept the festival’s Spotlight Award for her performance in Christy, the upcoming biopic about boxer Christy Martin. She posed with Amanda Seyfried, who co-stars in The Housemaid and picked up the Vanguard Award the same night.

Later in the evening, Sweeney switched into a strapless checked mini by Mimchik, cinched with a brown belt for the Christy screening at the Lucas Theatre for the Arts — a shift from sculptural elegance to casual charm.

It’s been a defining stretch for Sweeney. On Saturday, she unveiled a new blunt bob at the AFI screening of Christy in Los Angeles. Her hairstylist, Glen Coco Oropeza, called it a symbol of “transformation” and “power,” themes that anchor her latest role.

“Sydney wanted a big change — something that marked a new chapter,” colorist Jacob Schwartz told Vogue. “It felt like the right moment to do something bold.”

If the haircut was about reinvention, the dress was about control. Sweeney’s affinity for corsetry — from McQueen’s pink lace gown in London earlier this month to McCartney’s sculpted designs in Paris — shows an actress who understands the power of shape and structure.

At Savannah, she didn’t just wear the dress. She commanded it.
