TikTok Star Becca Bloom Fires Back at Critics of Her Wealth

Becca Bloom, the 27-year-old TikTok influencer known as the “queen of RichTok,” isn’t taking criticism lying down. After posting a video on inequality, social media users called her out for preaching balance while living a life of luxury.

In the Nov. 13 clip, Bloom—real name Rebecca Ma—explained that her husband David Pownall “pays all the bills,” calling it the bare minimum in their relationship. She argued that true equality isn’t just about finances: “Men only remember the word equality when it benefits them financially—not when it comes to wages, not safety, not emotional workload, not the cost of beauty. Until society is statistically equal, you cannot cherry pick equality to contribute less.”

Unsurprisingly, the video sparked backlash. Critics mocked her wealth and family background, with one writing, “I will not be lectured on equality by this billionaire. Not now, not ever.” Bloom didn’t flinch. “When someone can’t challenge the point, they challenge the existence of the person who made it. Thanks for the case study,” she shot back.

Another commenter suggested she leverage her billionaire family to distribute wealth. Becca defended herself, calling the remark “cyberbullying” and adding, “If you knew even a fraction about me or my family, that question wouldn’t have made it out of your drafts.”

Fans, meanwhile, praised her for addressing double standards between men and women. “YES—a person with a platform talking about this,” wrote one. Another chimed in, “This is your best video so far,” while a third noted, “Andddd this is why she’s the most popular RichTok girlie. HER CONTENT HAS DEPTH.”

Bloom’s mix of opulence, sharp commentary, and unapologetic voice is exactly why she remains one of TikTok’s most talked-about creators—and why critics will never go easy on her.
