Travis Barker is catching heat online after liking a bikini photo posted by his son Landon’s girlfriend, 20-year-old model Skyla Sanders. The shot — part of a June 29 vacation carousel — showed Sanders posing on a bed in swimwear. Also included in the post: two photos of Landon, 21, including a couple-style selfie.
Barker, 49, tapped the like button — and the internet took notice.
Reddit users weren’t subtle. “Absolutely gross! He should definitely know better!” one wrote. Another chimed in, “That’s not creepy at all…” followed by the usual mix of “ew,” “yikes,” and “weird behavior” commentary. Some critics went further, calling it “shameless” and suggesting Barker could “still look… without liking it.”
Others pushed back. Defenders noted that Landon appeared in the post, arguing that Barker could have simply been showing support for his son’s content. “They all like each other’s photos,” one user pointed out. Another added, “You’re reaching. His son’s in the post.”
Barker doesn’t follow Sanders on Instagram and, based on public activity, has only liked one other post of hers — which also featured Landon.
Still, the bikini shot wasn’t subtle. Other snaps in Sanders’ feed include a mirror selfie in stilettos and a black bodysuit, and a few pouting close-ups. The 20-year-old is the daughter of director Rupert Sanders and model Liberty Ross, and she’s reportedly been dating Landon for several months.
It’s unclear whether the drummer’s like was intentional, absent-minded, or algorithm-fed. But in an era where every online move becomes a headline, even a heart emoji can spark a backlash.
