The former supermodel opens up about a habit that’s equal parts gross and intimate
Tyra Banks has never been shy about owning her quirks, but this one caught even daytime TV off guard.
Appearing on Today With Jenna & Friends, the 51-year-old supermodel turned media mogul casually confessed to what she calls a “disgusting and erotic” addiction: picking pimples and digging out toe jam—from other people.
“I like to pick,” Banks told Jenna Bush Hager, not missing a beat. “I like the toe, and if it has some stuff in it, I don’t mind digging it out.”
She wasn’t joking. Banks keeps a “kit”—alcohol, tools, the whole setup. Friends, family, and her partner, Canadian businessman Louis Bélanger-Martin, are all fair game. Even her son. “Anyone that wants it,” she said. “And a pimple? If you had one, I’d be staring at you.”
She described the fixation as something that “touches those parts of me,” riding the line between revulsion and pleasure. “It’s disgusting and erotic at the same time.”
Still, there are boundaries. “Nether regions? That’s where I draw the line,” she clarified. “Chest up and knees down? It’s on.”
The confession didn’t stop there. Banks leaned in, describing in detail the “toe jam”—yes, actual toe jam—she’s extracted: “Sometimes it’s brown, sometimes it’s green.” Even Bush Hager looked rattled.
Banks has been with Bélanger-Martin since 2018, though he’s now been publicly identified as a willing subject of her dermatological deep dives.
It’s strange, sure. Maybe even stomach-turning. But Tyra’s been in the business long enough to know one thing: the weirder the reveal, the more people listen.
