Annie Knight has hit back at criticism surrounding her wedding to Henry Brayshaw, insisting the couple were surrounded by love and support despite the absence of several guests, including her father-in-law, Australian sports broadcaster James Brayshaw.
The OnlyFans star, who married Henry in a lavish Gold Coast ceremony, addressed the headlines in a social media post on Monday night after coverage focused on James’s decision not to attend and a controversial joke made during the reception speeches.
Knight, who had 72 guests at the wedding, said the attention was missing the point. She revealed that those who attended had repeatedly told the couple they had never experienced a wedding filled with more love and support.

“Every single guest that was present would start a war for Henry and I and vice versa,” she wrote. “That is a testament to Henry and I’s love.”
She also made her feelings about those who stayed away abundantly clear. “I feel immense sadness for the people who decided not to come on the day. That’s going to be something they will regret for the rest of their lives. It is their loss, not ours.”
One person who did make her presence felt was Henry’s mother, Sarah Brayshaw, whose emotional speech became a defining moment of the reception. With her husband James absent, Sarah spoke warmly about her son, praising his willingness to acknowledge his mistakes, apologise and remain optimistic during difficult periods.
“You are inherently kind, loving, generous, and deeply empathetic,” she told Henry, describing him as someone who would help anyone he could.
Sarah also had generous words for her new daughter-in-law, crediting Annie with being an important presence in Henry’s life. She thanked Knight’s parents, Karen and Simon, for raising a woman she described as intelligent, beautiful, confident, determined and loyal, before declaring herself proud to call Annie her daughter-in-law.
Knight responded with an affectionate message of her own, thanking Sarah for representing Henry’s family on the day. “To my beautiful mother-in-law, Sarah, I love you and we cannot thank you enough for standing up and representing Henry’s family,” she wrote. “He gets all his strength and morals from you and I’m proud to be your daughter.”

The wedding also produced a moment that divided opinion online. During the reception, one guest reportedly raised a toast to the couple’s online audience, joking: “Thanks to the 30,000 sad, lonely men that paid for all this.” The quip referenced Knight’s subscriber base and the money generated through her online career, prompting a mixture of amusement and discomfort.
The joke, alongside James’s absence, subsequently dominated headlines, prompting Knight to question why the wider celebration had been overshadowed by two talking points.
“I have been seeing way too many news articles focusing in on one bad joke or the absence of one person,” she wrote.
Her post attracted messages of support from followers, with commenters defending the couple and arguing that the attention should remain on their marriage rather than the controversy surrounding the guest list.
Knight ended her response by sharing a video of Sarah’s speech, adding that the couple would not allow negative comments to dictate their happiness.
For the newlyweds, the message was straightforward: whatever the headlines choose to focus on, they are standing by the people who showed up for them — and moving forward together.
