Layla Taylor has officially put a face to the woman she’s been talking about.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star made her red carpet debut with girlfriend Kelsie Chesser at the 2026 Virtual Reali-Tea Awards in New York City on Tuesday, with the couple arriving arm-in-arm for the event.
Taylor, 25, wore an asymmetrical floral corset dress with a pleated skirt and light blue strappy heels. Chesser kept things sharper in a navy suit, black shoes and a simple gold necklace.
It is the first time the pair have appeared together publicly since Taylor came out as bisexual in June. Speaking on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, the reality star said she was “gay and I’m bi and date women and men,” while revealing she had started seeing a woman without initially naming her.

Taylor described the woman as “emotionally aware” and “very patient,” explaining that their relationship began after the woman liked one of her Instagram photos. At the time, Taylor said she was still getting comfortable with the idea of dating a woman and appreciated having someone willing to let the relationship develop at her own pace.
She also admitted that publicly addressing her sexuality had been difficult. “It’s just something that I honestly didn’t really know how to formally address for a long period of my life,” she said, adding that she was now “finally in the era” of feeling comfortable showing “every part of Layla to the world.”
By July, Taylor had started teasing the relationship on social media. She shared a clip showing herself holding hands with a woman, although only her girlfriend’s tattooed arms were visible.
“‘You’re glowing lately.’ Thanks I’m dating a woman now,” Taylor wrote over the video, adding in the caption: “Chivalry isn’t dead it’s [with] the lesbians.”

Chesser later made the relationship considerably less mysterious. In a TikTok posted that month, she revealed herself as Taylor’s girlfriend while singing along to Beyoncé’s “Partition.”
“When I slid into my girlfriend’s DMs just hoping she was into girls,” Chesser wrote. “Thankful she was 🙂↕️ #wlw #girlfriend.”
Taylor confirmed the relationship in the comments with one word: “Folded.”
Taylor rose to fame through Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and shares two young sons with ex-husband Clayton Wessel. The pair were married from 2020 until their divorce in 2025. Now, Taylor is entering a very different chapter — and this time, she’s not keeping the girlfriend off camera.
