Reality television has always fed on public humiliation, but prosecutors in California say former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd may have taken things far beyond Bravo-level chaos.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Dodd is now facing multiple misdemeanor charges tied to an alleged revenge porn incident involving explicit images shared without consent.
Prosecutors claim Dodd “unlawfully and intentionally” distributed sexual images of a Jane Doe on or around August 29, 2025. The woman allegedly appears in the material engaging in sexual activity and masturbation, with authorities stating the content was meant to remain private.
The case gets darker from there.
Court filings reportedly allege the woman suffered severe emotional distress after the images were shared, and prosecutors say Dodd recorded the material under circumstances where the victim had a “reasonable expectation of privacy.” According to the documents, both parties had agreed the content would stay confidential.
Authorities also claim Dodd later contacted the same woman and threatened harm against her, her family, and her property around the same period as the alleged leak.
As if that wasn’t enough legal trouble for one Bravo veteran, Dodd is also facing a separate battery charge connected to an alleged June 2025 incident involving another Jane Doe.
In total, the former reality star is now staring down three misdemeanor charges and possible jail time.
Dodd, who built her television reputation on confrontation, volatility and saying the quiet part out loud with the subtlety of a bar fight in Newport Beach, has yet to publicly respond to the allegations. TMZ reports that attempts to contact her camp were unsuccessful.
For now, the former “RHOC” firebrand is trading reunion couches for court documents — and the Bravo drama suddenly looks very small compared to what’s unfolding in real life.
