Reality television personality Taylor Frankie Paul has voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility as she continues to prioritise her health following a turbulent year marked by legal battles and public scrutiny.
According to PEOPLE, the 32-year-old checked into the facility on the recommendation of her doctor before later leaving. Sources close to Paul say the decision was entirely voluntary and part of her commitment to improving her wellbeing. “She’s committed to getting better,” one insider said, while another noted that those closest to her have been encouraging her to seek support, with a shared focus on protecting her children.
Paul is the mother of three children: two-year-old son Ever, whom she shares with Dakota Mortensen, and daughter Indy, eight, and son Ocean, six, from her previous marriage to Tate Paul.
The latest development follows a difficult period in Paul’s personal life. Earlier this year, she and Mortensen became the subject of a domestic assault investigation linked to incidents that reportedly took place in February. The investigation drew renewed attention after footage from a 2023 altercation between the former couple resurfaced online, showing Paul throwing chairs during an argument while a child was nearby.
Paul was previously arrested in 2023 on allegations of domestic violence and later entered a guilty plea in abeyance to aggravated assault. Under the terms of that agreement, the charge can be dismissed if all conditions are successfully met, while the remaining charges have already been dropped. Prosecutors also announced in April that they would not pursue charges connected to the more recent investigation.
Custody arrangements involving Ever have also evolved in recent months. Protective orders were mutually granted to both Paul and Mortensen for three years, with Mortensen initially retaining primary custody. However, in June, a judge expanded Paul’s parenting time, allowing unsupervised daytime visits on a weekly basis alongside alternating weekends, while Mortensen remains the custodial parent during holidays.
Paul’s relationship with Mortensen has played out publicly through The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, although production on the Hulu series was temporarily paused following news of the investigation. Filming later resumed without either of them, though reports suggest Paul could still return in the future. For now, those close to the reality star say her attention remains firmly on her recovery, her mental health and rebuilding life with her children.
