Former US Open Tennis Star Ashley Harkleroad Turns Heads in Bikini After Playboy Career Switch

Ashley Harkleroad has traded the tennis court for a very different kind of spotlight, and at 41, the former US Open competitor is still giving her 130,000 Instagram followers plenty to look at.

The Georgia-born former WTA player made her name on the professional tennis circuit, competing at the US Open, Wimbledon, Australian Open and French Open during her career.

Her best singles run at the US Open came in 2003, when she reached the second round. She also made the second round at Wimbledon in 2006, while reaching the third round of the Australian Open in 2007 and the French Open in 2003.

Harkleroad’s strongest results came in doubles, including quarter-final appearances at the Australian Open in 2007 and the French Open in 2008.

Then came the career change.

In August 2008, Harkleroad appeared in Playboy, becoming one of the more unexpected crossover names from professional sport to the glamour world. She continued working in modelling after stepping away from tennis and later joined OnlyFans in 2022, although she subsequently deleted the account.

Instagram remains her main window into life after professional tennis. Her feed mixes fitness, fashion, cooking, travel and plenty of bikini content.

In her latest post, Harkleroad posed in a tiny blue bikini during a series of mirror selfies, alongside shots from her workout routine and everyday life.

The post also included footage of her cooking dinner, relaxing in the pool and heading out for a night with friends. Her caption summed up the routine: “Eat, sleep, cook, clean, play a little;) workout…repeat!”

There were also glimpses of her personal style and fitness regime, including cycling and gym content.

Her followers were quick to weigh in.

“Girl you left-out be a baddie,” one fan commented.

“You’re amazing,” wrote another.

A third simply called her “a baddie”, while another added: “Wonderful woman.”

It’s a long way from the pressure of the WTA Tour, but Harkleroad appears to have found a second act that suits her just fine.
