Brooks Nader Channels Pamela Anderson’s ‘Barb Wire’ Era in Black Leather Cannes Look

Brooks Nader traded her usual run of red-carpet red for black leather in Cannes this week, delivering a look straight out of Pamela Anderson’s Barb Wire era as she gears up for her role in the Baywatch reboot.

The 29-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model attended Fox’s Baywatch panel on Tuesday in a black leather corset, fitted leggings, knee-high boots and opera-length gloves. Her blonde hair came in a full, voluminous blowout, finished with pushed-up sunglasses that completed the throwback look.

The inspiration was hard to miss. Anderson starred as the leather-clad bounty hunter in the 1996 action film Barb Wire, one of the defining looks of her career. Nader’s homage had the same unapologetic attitude, although one detail was missing: Anderson’s famous barbed-wire bicep tattoo.

Nader is preparing to swap the fashion circuit for the beach as she takes on the role of Selene, captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards, in the upcoming Baywatch reboot. She will appear alongside Shay Mitchell, Livvy Dunne and Noah Beck, with original cast members including Kelly Packard also returning to the franchise.

Red has been Nader’s colour of choice throughout the build-up to the series, with the model repeatedly wearing the iconic Baywatch shade on the red carpet, including at last month’s Emmys. Earlier this year, filming brought the cast to the sand in the familiar one-piece swimsuits that helped turn the original series into a global pop-culture fixture.

The role has even influenced Nader’s off-duty wardrobe. Speaking to Page Six Style in June 2026, she said working on Baywatch had persuaded her to move away from string bikinis. Her verdict on the one-piece? She was now “100% into one-pieces.”

With the reboot on the horizon, Nader is already making the most of the franchise’s legacy. And if her Cannes appearance is any indication, she has no intention of playing it safe when it comes to channeling the women who made Baywatch famous.
