Demi Lovato spent her 34th birthday doing what most people would consider the sensible thing: disappearing to the Bahamas, ignoring the phone and wearing a succession of bikinis.
The Camp Rock star marked her birthday with an island getaway, sharing a slideshow from the trip on Instagram Monday with the caption: “Someone’s gotta hold it down in the Bahamas.”
The carousel is a fairly relaxed affair, packed with friends, dogs, pigs and plenty of beach time. Lovato’s wardrobe, meanwhile, leans heavily into leopard print and swimwear.
The opening shot shows her in an animal-print dress, beach waves and a sun-kissed complexion. A few swipes later, things get considerably more revealing, with Lovato posing in a cherry-red string bikini.
She also filmed a TikTok wearing the same two-piece, lying face-down in the sand and joking: “DND except for making tiktoks.”
The accompanying voiceover made her holiday priorities perfectly clear: “I don’t want anybody to call me on the phone. I don’t want anybody to text me. I don’t want to speak to anybody.”
Fair enough.
The red bikini wasn’t the only swimwear making an appearance. Lovato also packed a black two-piece with contrasting white ties, along with a colourful printed bikini for the trip.
The singer celebrated alongside friends including Libby Kelter, Byron Gamble and Matthew Scott Montgomery, keeping the birthday festivities firmly in the sun-and-sand department.
The break won’t last forever, however. Lovato is due back on the road for her It’s Not That Deep tour, with the next show scheduled for August 28 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
