Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein brought easy chemistry to the red carpet Wednesday night, appearing together at the 2026 Netflix Upfront in New York as they promoted upcoming rom-com Office Romance.
The pair were photographed close together at Sunset Pier 94 Studios, with Lopez in a blush pink midi dress and Goldstein in a light grey blazer, polo shirt and white trousers. The film, due for release on June 5, sees Lopez play a CEO who falls for her new hire, played by Goldstein.
Speaking on the carpet, Lopez pointed to the connection between them on set.
“We had great chemistry to begin with,” she told People. “It just grew as we did the film together.”
She added that her first impression of Goldstein shifted once they started working closely, saying she had expected a tougher persona based on his Ted Lasso role.
“I thought he was going to be more like the character, but he was so soft-spoken and sweet and totally different,” she said.
Goldstein, who co-wrote the film with Joe Kelly, said Lopez was always the first choice for the role of Jackie Cruz.
“We started asking ourselves who the best rom-com star is, and without hesitation, we both said J.Lo,” he told People.
The casting has already drawn attention online, with fans resurfacing clips of Goldstein praising Lopez in earlier interviews and podcast appearances, including moments where he openly admired her on-screen presence.
Lopez began filming the project following a period of personal change after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck in 2024. She has not publicly confirmed any new relationship since.
Goldstein has previously kept his private life largely out of the spotlight, with his only known public relationship being with comedian Beth Rylance in 2021.
With Office Romance still months from release, the pair’s on-screen pairing is already generating attention well beyond the film itself.
