Olivia Rodrigo could have a new man in her life, and this time he isn’t another actor or musician.
The Grammy-winning singer has been spotted around New York with Julian Croonenberghs, a private equity investor at Hg Capital, fuelling speculation that the pair are dating following Rodrigo’s reported split from British actor Louis Partridge.
The rumour mill kicked into gear after photos surfaced online appearing to show Rodrigo and Croonenberghs arriving at an airport together after travelling from Iceland to New York. The pair have also reportedly been seen together on several occasions in Brooklyn.
Croonenberghs isn’t a familiar face in Hollywood circles. According to his LinkedIn profile, he graduated from Brown University, where he studied applied mathematics and computer science, before working as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs. He now works in private equity at Hg Capital and previously represented the United States Men’s National Field Hockey Team between 2018 and 2020. He also speaks both Dutch and French.
Neither Rodrigo nor Croonenberghs has commented on the dating speculation.
If the rumours prove true, it would mark a change of pace for the Vampire singer, whose previous relationships have largely been with fellow entertainment figures.
Rodrigo dated producer Adam Faze in 2021 before the pair called it quits the following year. She was also linked to her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett, with fans famously believing their split inspired several tracks on her breakout album, including Driver’s License.
In 2022 she briefly dated music executive and DJ Zack Bia, while her most recent public relationship was with House of Guinness actor Louis Partridge. The pair were together throughout much of 2024 before rumours of a split gathered pace earlier this year after they stopped appearing together.
For now, neither side is confirming anything, but if the recent sightings are anything to go by, Rodrigo’s love life may have moved from the red carpet to the trading floor.
