Former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders standout Reece Weaver has officially begun the next stage of her life, purchasing a $750,000 home in Alabama just weeks before confirming her departure from one of the most famous cheer squads in American sport.
The 24-year-old, who became one of the breakout stars of Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts, has moved into a four-bedroom property in Tuscaloosa with her husband, Will Allman. Set on half an acre in one of the city’s quieter suburbs, the home marks a fresh start after her unexpected exit from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Weaver’s popularity exploded following the success of the Netflix series, which pulled back the curtain on the relentless audition process and demanding lifestyle behind the iconic squad. Her growing profile quickly translated into social media success, attracting major brand partnerships and establishing her as an influencer well beyond the sidelines.
Many fans expected Weaver to remain with the organisation for several more seasons, making her decision to step away all the more surprising. While she kept the reasons behind her departure largely private during the series, she recently confirmed on Instagram that she and Allman had settled into their new Alabama home, sharing photos outside the property alongside their dog with the caption, “Home SWEET home.”
According to property records, the couple completed the purchase in May, shortly before news of Weaver’s retirement became public. Built in 2013, the 3,600-square-foot home includes four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple living spaces and outdoor entertaining areas with a fireplace. The gated entrance also offers a welcome degree of privacy as Weaver adjusts to life away from the spotlight of professional cheerleading.

The move also brings the couple back to familiar ground. Weaver attended the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the school’s dance team, and it was there that she met Allman before eventually moving to Dallas to pursue her dream of becoming a Cowboys Cheerleader.
Despite leaving the squad, Weaver has remained closely connected to the Netflix phenomenon that made her a household name. She recently travelled to New York to promote the latest season of America’s Sweethearts and reunited with former teammates for appearances on national television, including Today and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The latest season also sparked online criticism aimed at Allman, with some viewers suggesting he had influenced Weaver’s decision to leave cheerleading and embrace a more traditional role at home. Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Weaver dismissed those claims, insisting her husband fully supported whatever decision she chose to make.
“It makes me frustrated, because that could not be more far from the truth,” she said. “He was so supportive, no matter what decision I made.”
Allman echoed that sentiment, saying he understands why fans wanted an explanation for such a high-profile departure but insisting the decision was entirely hers.
What’s next for Weaver remains unclear, but with a successful Netflix career behind her, a rapidly growing online following and a new home in Alabama, she’s entering a chapter that looks very different from life on the sidelines—and one she’ll be writing on her own terms.
