Cami Chan could spend her money on designer clothes, luxury holidays and fast cars. Instead, she spends more than £2,000 a month making sure her four cats have everything they could possibly want.
The 28-year-old content creator earns around £50,000 a month and has built an Instagram following of roughly 500,000. But rather than blowing her income on the usual symbols of online success, she puts a sizeable chunk of it into the care of Artemis, Kerrigan, Jupiter and Mercury.
There is premium food, endless supplies of litter, grooming, veterinary care, toys, beds, clothes and plenty of other treats. The cats also have places to sleep and play throughout Cami’s large Chicago home.

“I spend over £2,000 a month maintaining the four of them,” Cami said.
“That includes their food, litter, grooming, regular vet check-ups, toys and all the other little things they need.”
With four cats, the bills naturally stack up. Artemis is a purebred ragdoll, Mercury is a purebred Siamese, while Kerrigan and Jupiter are mixed breeds.
Cami admits they probably have more possessions than she does.
“There are four of them eating, so even just food and litter becomes expensive when you add up what you’re spending across an entire month,” she said.
“Then I’m always seeing a new toy or bed and thinking they’d like it, even though they already have things all over the house.”
The cats may have the run of the place, but they are hardly low-maintenance housemates.

“There’s always somebody throwing up. There’s always somebody screaming for food,” Cami said. “It’s way better than kids, obviously, but they are a handful.”
When it comes to veterinary care, however, Cami draws a hard line. She says she will never cut corners if one of her pets needs treatment.
“Vet bills are something I’ll never cut corners on,” she said. “If one of them needs a check-up or there’s something wrong, I want them seen and looked after properly.”
The same attitude applies when she travels. Cami rarely goes away, describing herself as an introvert who prefers being at home, but when circumstances allow, she will pay extra to take the cats with her.
“I’d much rather have them with me than be worrying about them the entire time I’m away.”
The four cats also stay indoors permanently. Cami is particularly concerned about her purebred pets being stolen, so they remain safely inside, where she believes they have everything they need.
Her relationship with animals predates her online career. Cami previously studied to become a veterinary technician before dropping out of college. She later discovered OnlyFans and decided to try creating content herself.

She says she earned enough during her first month to move out of home and has continued building the business since. Her average monthly income is now around £50,000, with her best month bringing in approximately £80,000.
Despite that income, Cami says she is conscious that online success is not guaranteed to last forever. She has bought her own home and tries to save and invest as much as possible.
For now, though, there are four cats to keep comfortable.
“I know spending more than £2,000 every month on four cats sounds ridiculous to some people,” she said.
