Katie Salmon has revealed that one OnlyFans subscriber once paid her £10,000 in 24 hours — a figure she now looks back on with rather different eyes.
The former Love Island contestant, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2016, built a lucrative career on OnlyFans and in glamour modelling before walking away from both in 2023 after turning to Christianity.
Speaking on The Dozen with Liam Tuffs podcast, Salmon recalled the moment one private customer handed over £10,000 in a single day.
“I remember making my first ever ten grand in 24 hours,” she said, explaining that the money came from one subscriber who wanted more exclusive content.
Salmon went on to say that making between £10,000 and £15,000 was not unusual for her, without necessarily having to go further with the content she was selling.
“I would love to make that now, you know?” she said. “But, as always, when you have something you constantly want more of it. So I wanted more money.”
The money was one thing. Getting there was another.
After leaving Love Island, Salmon said she expected the show to open doors for her, only to watch other contestants land television appearances and media opportunities while she struggled to find the same momentum.
“When I came out of Love Island I expected something really big to be coming from it,” she recalled.
“I remember sitting in the car with everyone else and everyone was getting TV deals, ringing up for interviews the next day and I wasn’t. So I was like, ‘OK, I’ve flopped this’.”
Salmon finished fourth on the 2016 series alongside Adam Maxted, although the relationship ended shortly after they left the villa.
She also made television history during the series after coupling up with Sophie Gradon, becoming part of the show’s first same-sex couple.
The direction of Salmon’s life has changed considerably since those days. In 2023, she deactivated her OnlyFans account and turned toward religion, later being baptised and describing herself as a Christian and a “born again virgin.”
The £10,000 day belongs to another chapter of the story. These days, Salmon is looking back on the money, the fame and the relentless appetite for more from a very different place.
