Lewis Hamilton is getting to know a different side of life away from the Formula 1 paddock. The seven-time world champion has offered a rare glimpse into his relationship with Kim Kardashian’s four children, revealing that family life is becoming part of the deal.
Speaking during a panel ahead of the United States Grand Prix in Texas, Hamilton spoke warmly about spending time with North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, whom Kardashian shares with her ex-husband, Kanye West. “My girlfriend’s kids, I love spending time with them,” he said. “She’s got four, so I’m getting to play with these kids.” He also revealed that he had bought the family a dog this year, introducing a new member called Halo.
Rumours linking Hamilton and Kardashian began circulating around eight months ago, following a reported weekend together in the Cotswolds. Their relationship has since become increasingly public, with Kardashian and her sister Khloé turning up to support the British driver at Formula 1 events and Hamilton joining Kardashian on a family holiday during the summer.
One photograph from the trip offered a glimpse of the new dynamic. Kardashian shared a selfie with Hamilton and her daughter Chicago beside a lake, with the three posing closely together. Other photographs have followed, including images of the couple together in a car and during what appeared to be a hotel stay.
Hamilton has also spoken about the effect the relationship has had on him. Ahead of the British Grand Prix, he described himself as a “happier man”. Kardashian, meanwhile, has been more guarded about her romantic life on The Kardashians, although she hinted that her new partner had matched the qualities she had been looking for. “Every single box on my manifest list was checked,” she told the cameras.
The relationship comes after several years in which Kardashian focused on herself and her family following her divorce from West, whom she married in 2014 before separating in 2021. She previously told The Times that she had wanted to heal before opening herself up to another relationship. Hamilton, for his part, has spoken candidly about the difficulty of balancing romance with the demands of a career spent travelling the world. His long-term relationship with former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger ended in 2015, and he has since acknowledged the sacrifices required to remain at the top of motorsport. Now, with Kardashian and her children in the picture, the champion appears to be making room for a life beyond racing.
