Megyn Kelly Slams Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Over North West’s Dazed Cover

Megyn Kelly has taken aim at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West over the way they are raising their daughter, North West, arguing that the teenager is being pushed into the spotlight too quickly.

During Tuesday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the journalist questioned whether Kardashian and West were doing enough to protect their daughter from the pressures of growing up in public.

“Does North West have good parents?” Kelly asked, reacting to North’s new cover for British quarterly magazine Dazed.

The 13-year-old appears on the cover with blue hair, facial piercings and what appears to be a grill-style set of false teeth. Kelly compared North’s age to that of her own son, Thatcher, who was also born in 2013.

“Look at this,” Kelly said as the cover appeared on screen. “She is almost exactly the same age as my [son] Thatcher.”

Kelly went on to point out that North is already pursuing a career in entertainment. The teenager is reportedly working on an album and has performed at concerts, developments Kelly argued represent a rapid move into the adult spotlight.

“They are rushing to try to make her a star without, it doesn’t appear, any reflection of the significant downside of putting your child on camera for her childhood,” she said of Kardashian and West.

Representatives for Kardashian and West did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

North’s appearance has previously sparked debate about how much freedom children of celebrities should have over their appearance. In September 2025, Kardashian faced criticism after North debuted finger piercings, with one TikTok user saying the decision was upsetting.

Kardashian defended her daughter in the comments, replying simply: “it’s okay 🫶.”

The following month, Kardashian dismissed criticism of North’s fake facial tattoos and piercings, calling the issue a “non-issue”.

She also discussed the difficulties of raising a child whose every fashion choice can become public property during an interview with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy last October.

“It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things … But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, ‘okay, we’re never wearing that again,’” Kardashian said.

“Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

Kardashian and West, who split in 2021, share four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. North, meanwhile, is already carving out a public identity of her own — whether her parents are ready for the scrutiny that comes with it or not.
