Brooks Nader opened New York Fashion Week in a sheer black lace dress, arriving in Manhattan for a Council of Fashion Designers of America event with very little interest in playing it safe.
The 29-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model stepped out of a black SUV in the fitted midi dress, which featured intricate lace, short ruffled sleeves, a high neckline and a hem falling below the knees. She wore black underwear beneath the transparent fabric, finishing the look with pointed-toe pumps and a clutch.
Nader kept the styling stripped back. Her blonde hair was worn loose in waves down her back, while a handful of rings provided the only major jewellery. The dress did the rest, putting the focus firmly on its lace construction rather than a pile of accessories.
Her appearance comes as Nader’s personal life continues to attract attention following her split from professional dancer Gleb Savchenko. The pair were partnered on Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars in 2024, where their chemistry quickly prompted romance rumours. The relationship continued after the show before ending in April 2025.
Nader later accused Savchenko of cheating during the August 2025 premiere of her Freeform reality series Love Thy Nader. The show documented the fallout, including footage of Nader and her sisters looking through Savchenko’s phone after he accidentally left it behind in New York. Nader said messages and screenshots made her believe he had been unfaithful. Savchenko has denied the allegations, telling E! News: “I’m not a cheater. I’m actually a family guy. I’m a relationship guy.”
Now the Nader family has another connection to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom. Brooks’ younger sister Sarah Jane is competing in the upcoming season, although Savchenko is not returning as a professional dancer. Asked about the prospect of avoiding an awkward reunion with her sister’s former partner, Sarah Jane kept it simple: “I wish him well. Glad I’m not having to deal with that awkward interaction.” Brooks, meanwhile, appears less interested in looking backwards. Asked recently whether she’d ever “hex” an ex, she had her own answer: “I get my revenge in other ways.” Her preferred method? Billboards across Los Angeles and New York.
