Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell have officially made it a two-person team. The singer and Cleveland Cavaliers star married on Saturday in an intimate ceremony attended by family, close friends and a sizeable gathering of NBA talent.
Among the guests were Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson and Miami Heat player Bam Adebayo, while Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, were also there to celebrate the couple.
The wedding itself has remained private, with no official photographs released so far. Guests did, however, share glimpses from the reception, including footage of the newlyweds taking their first dance to Musiq Soulchild’s 2000 track Love.
In the video shared by Philadelphia 76ers player, Jones wraps her arms around Mitchell before the couple share a kiss on the dance floor. The Grammy-winning singer wore a floor-length white gown with a crystal-covered corset bodice and straps, later changing into a white mini dress for the reception.
Mitchell kept things equally monochromatic, wearing a white tuxedo with custom white Adidas sneakers. The shoes featured the couple’s wedding date in gold, adding a personal detail to his otherwise classic look.
Ciara and Russell Wilson have been part of the couple’s story since before the wedding day. The pair helped Mitchell with his proposal, and following the ceremony Ciara congratulated the newlyweds on Instagram, writing that “the power of love is so beautiful” and saying she and Wilson were happy for them.
Jones and Mitchell first met at a Fourth of July party in 2023 before beginning a relationship the following year. Jones eventually confirmed their romance during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay in 2025, putting an end to months of speculation.
The couple announced their engagement in July 2025, sharing footage of Mitchell’s proposal on Instagram.
For Jones, 28, the wedding comes after a relationship with NBA player Klay Thompson that lasted around a year and a half. Mitchell, 29, was previously linked to Deja Lighty.
Now, after two years of knowing each other and a year since making their engagement public, Jones and Mitchell have started a new chapter together — with plenty of familiar faces from music and basketball there to see it happen.
