Lady Gaga has reportedly stepped into a new chapter of life after she and fiancé Michael Polansky were spotted with their newborn baby for the first time.
The 40-year-old singer was photographed carrying the infant close to her chest while walking alongside Polansky, 42, in Northern California. Gaga kept things casual in loose white trousers, an oversized coat and dark sunglasses, while her fiancé opted for shorts, a hoodie, baseball cap and flip-flops.
The couple have kept their private life firmly under wraps in recent months, making the outing a rare glimpse of their life away from the cameras. Gaga appeared protective of the newborn as the small family walked together, with both parents dressed about as far from red-carpet glamour as it gets.
The sighting comes after Gaga largely disappeared from public view following the end of her Mayhem Ball tour in April. For a woman who has spent more than two decades at the centre of the pop culture machine, the quieter approach appears to be a deliberate one.
Gaga has previously spoken about her hopes of becoming a mother, telling The New York Times in 2025 that she was excited by the prospect while also wanting any future children to have the freedom to discover who they are without being forced into a life chosen for them. She also admitted that motherhood would require a major shift after years of living a career built around herself.
Now, Gaga and Polansky appear to be getting exactly what they have worked hard to protect: some privacy. A source close to the singer said the pair have created an “amazing biodome of love”, and judging by their first appearance as parents, Lady Gaga’s latest era may be her most personal yet.
