OnlyFans star Sophie Rain causes a stir on New York Swim Week runway

OnlyFans star Sophie Rain has returned to the runway, bringing her internet fame to New York Swim Week and once again giving social media plenty to argue about.

The 23-year-old content creator walked in back-to-back presentations for SheDesigns and ColorSuper on Monday, July 27, trading the familiar territory of social media for the more scrutinised world of swimwear modelling.

For SheDesigns, Rain appeared in a bedazzled emerald-green bikini finished with sparkling tassels and a towering feathered backpiece that wouldn’t have looked out of place at a Carnival parade. The revealing ensemble also drew attention to her tan lines as she made her way down the catwalk.

Rain later appeared for ColorSuper in a considerably less elaborate swimsuit featuring bold graphics and the words “Super” and “Racer” across the design.

The OnlyFans star shared footage of both appearances with her followers.

“my walk for New York Swim Week,” she wrote on X alongside a video from the show.

After her second appearance, she posted on Instagram: “my second walk at New York Swim Week for @colorsuper. so grateful for this opportunity & everyone that made it possible.”

The New York appearance is Rain’s second major swimwear runway in a matter of months.

She first stepped onto the catwalk at Miami Swim Week in May, where she walked for CI Swimwear, a label connected to talent management company Creators Inc. Another high-profile OnlyFans creator, Piper Rockelle, also appeared in the show.

Rain’s Miami debut quickly became a talking point online, with critics questioning whether an OnlyFans creator should be regarded as a professional model.

Rain didn’t exactly retreat from the argument.

In a since-deleted Instagram post responding to the backlash, she wrote: “made the entire internet mad that i walked miami swim week.”

The controversy has done little to slow her momentum. If anything, Rain appears increasingly comfortable moving between the worlds of adult content, social media and mainstream fashion.

She has already built a sizeable online following and become one of the most recognisable names to emerge from the current OnlyFans economy. Now she’s testing whether that audience can follow her beyond the subscription platform and onto the runway.

New York Swim Week suggests she isn’t waiting around for permission.
